Aligned Minds Counselling
“People start to heal the moment they feel heard, healing takes time, and asking for help is a courageous step.”
My Specialisations
Mental Health
Providing professional support and guidance to individuals experiencing emotional, psychological and behavioural difficulties. Using a range of evidence-based approaches to facilitate coping, enhance functioning and promote overall mental wellbeing.
Relationships
Helping individuals improve relationships by increasing self-awareness, enhancing communication skills, and developing emotional regulation. Doing this fosters empathy, reduces conflict, and supports healthier interactions, leading to more stable and satisfying interpersonal connections.
Grief and Loss
Counselling helps individuals navigate grief and loss by encouraging emotional expression, normalising responses, building coping skills, and supporting adaptation to life changes while promoting acceptance, resilience, and ongoing wellbeing.
Domestic violence
Supporting domestic violence survivors by providing emotional support, safety planning, trauma recovery, empowerment, and education, helping rebuild self-esteem, recognise abuse patterns, and access resources for protection and long-term wellbeing.
Adult and Child Challenges
Counselling helps adults navigate life and parenting by building coping skills, emotional regulation, and confidence, while improving communication, managing stress, strengthening relationships, and supporting positive, consistent parenting approaches for children’s wellbeing.
Crisis Support
Counselling provides immediate emotional support during crises, helping individuals feel safe, stabilise intense emotions, develop coping strategies, make clear decisions, and connect with support services to reduce risk and restore a sense of control.
“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.” – Carl Jung
“In moments of struggle, it can feel as though hope is out of reach. Counselling offers a reminder that even in the darkest times, change is possible. Through empathy, guidance, and a safe therapeutic relationship, individuals are supported in rebuilding confidence, strengthening emotional wellbeing, and reconnecting with their own capacity to heal and grow.”
Why is Counselling Good for Your Health
Counselling is good for your health because it supports both mental and physical wellbeing. By talking through problems in a safe, non-judgemental space, people often experience better sleep, improved relationships, and lower stress-related physical symptoms like headaches or tension. Overall, counselling builds resilience and supports long-term wellbeing.
